Castpost is an innovative idea that has not fully permeated into the blogging arena, with the exception of hard-core bloggers who keep their fingers on the tech-pulse, spicing up their daily rants with audio and video posts. This website offers several features, categorised under four groups: sharing, blogging, podcasts and dating.

The site is currently in a pre-beta stage and is still under heavy development therefore, many of the features are unstable. However, the website acknowledges these problems and offers users an option to report glitches or submit requests and suggestions on how to improve it.

With pages such as learn more, help, terms of use and forums, the likelihood of getting lost in the gamut of pages on the site is slim. However, one serious downside to the website, despite the easy usability it offers, is that some pages take considerably longer to load.

At the same time, one praiseworthy feature of the website is the search facility it provides, allowing users to search for any type of video and audio clip posted on Castpost. Unfortunately, this facility is not easy to access and once found, one has to use the back button of the browser to go to any previously visited page, as the search page returns blank, with no links or menus, for one to navigate from. At present clicking on some of the features of the site may turn into a bumpy ride, which will hopefully smooth out once the website is out of the testing stage.
