BookWorm: Bestseller List 1900-1995
www.caderbooks.com/bestintro.html
Search engines are famous for throwing back irrelevant results. Some times, you can find an absolute gem tucked away in the pile of a dozen completely useless links such as the one we found at Cader Books ("a small publisher of big books"). Every year, Cader Books publishes an entertainment almanac for People Magazine which consists of interesting trivia and facts. From the almanac, Cader Books has posted the entire list of Best Sellers from the previous century online. Divided in to decades and fiction as well as non-fiction genres, the listings only consist of the titles and their authors and do not link to a book store where you can purchase any of the books online. Any bookworm would find it worth his or her while to browse through the century old catalogues showing A. Canon Doyle at number seven with The Hound of Baskerville in 1900, Ernest Hemingway as numero uno with For Whom The Bells Toll in 1940 and on to the Grishams, Clancys and Kings in the 1990s.

ItchyFeet: Travel Alaska
www.travelalaska.com/
If wishes were horses then we would all be riding one out to Alaska for the summers. Alternatively, you could click over jpegs of the snow-covered terrain or witness a breathtaking Real clip of the Northern Lights illuminate the skies at TravelAlaska. Created by the State's Official Tourism Marketing Organization, Travel Alaska offers tourist information including details about history, culture, wildlife and weather. But for the less fortunate, the virtual tour offers some respite from the hot and humid weather that dominates the Pakistani summers. Start out at the visitor stories section where you can browse through some 15 odd journal entries and travelogues (you can submit one of your virtual tour). You will find its not all frozen glaciers inside Alaska when you take a peek at the magnificent mountain views and countryside at the photo gallery. While there is a limited selection of live cams and video clips on the site, the multimedia clips are worth the trouble of a download.
