  1. Accountancy
    www.accountancy.com.pk
Accountancy If anything, Accountancy.com.pk is a sight for sore eyes because of its immaculate design. The site has been commercially operating since February this year. Professionals and students alike will find substantial food for thought here. There's enough reading matter, news and interactive options to engage those number-crunching minds. Then there's a separate channel for students and creators say a careers section will soon be added to the website for both professionals and employers. A project of Point Consulting, the creators claim they are in consultation with several top accountancy tutors and colleges whose notes will be posted for students. We say its worth more than a click.

  2. Pakistan Water Development Gateway
    www.waterinfo.net.pk
Pakistan Water Development Gateway Historians predicted the next war would be fought over water. The movie Waterworld investigated the impact of water shortage on Earthlings with disastrous results (the flick bombed!). Provincial governments have been arguing over water ratios for decades and its time netizens acquaint with the issue at large. This cool blue website from World Conservation Union of Pakistan explores the country's long-term policy on water. You will find an excellent collection of articles, reports and contacts if you are pursuing this area as a student or social scientist. For the less academically inclined, there's even a water web ring in the making. Some features such as the forum were under construction at the time of our going to press but you can find plenty more to dip your feet in at Pakistan's Water Gateway.

  3. Abbas Ali Khan
    www.abbasalikhan.com
Abbas Ali Khan A rising star or one-hit wonder? You get a chance to find out for yourself at Abbas Ali Khan's homepage. This 25-year-old performer is eyeing the Pakistani pop center-stage after the release of his debut album Humsafar. The Abbas Ali Khan website (surely a Mac fan judging by the design) is loaded with enough info and multimedia content to fill an hour's worth of downloading time. You can listen to tracks off his album and watch videos while catching up with Abbas himself who does seem to answer his e-mails well within 24 hours (we tried and it works!). Mobile maniacs can also copy tunes from the Downloads section. Don't forget to check the links section for more on Pakistani music.

  4. Kidologies
    www.kidologies.com
Kidologies Kidologies is an interesting effort for school-goers, parents, and teachers - a niche explored by few local teams in the past. Children can find games and learning resources aplenty, plus a chat area. Parents can look forward to quality reading time on caring for kids or search for tuition help in their area. Teachers might be disappointed with their section for there isn't much to write home about sans tips on class management, a horoscope section (?!) and a few activities for class. Kids, don't just copy paste cooking recipe off this site, send your creative suggestions to the team.

  5. Islam-Christianity
    www.islam-christianity.com
Islam-Christianity Talk about ebook revolution. A local scholar has posted all his work online for free. His publications explore Islam and Christianity. We don't endorse his opinion or his research but we think some readers researching on these religions might find Capt. Abdul Waheed Khan's publications useful to browse through. The Islam-Christianity website is designed well and you can find your way around it without a hassle. If you're interested in short articles, there's a section dedicated to them.
